CryptoCitizens & Bright Moments Community –

Our story started in Venice Beach during a very special moment in history. A new form of digital art, enabled by non-fungible tokens, blew up overnight. Suddenly, tens of thousands of people were scrambling to participate in a digital economy.

We found ourselves in the middle of a movement.

That initial burst of energy propelled us out of the comfort of our home and onto a whirlwind journey that has brought us to the four corners of the world.

Art is an incredible medium for education -- it captivates and makes otherwise daunting technical topics feel accessible and worthwhile. I'm proud of the work we've done to bring thousands of people onchain.

As we enter the final phase of our CryptoCitizen world tour, it's important to reflect on our history. Bright Moments is a collection of stories told through art and the relationships we've developed. It has taken a village to get to where we are and although the work isn't done yet, the final three cities are within reach.

Operations Update

In July we:

• Voted on Paris as the location of City #9 in February 2024. For the first time, we know the location of all ten cities on our roadmap (!)

• Announced 923 Empty Rooms by Casey Reas, our next collaboration with Art Blocks, releasing on August 14. Casey's importance to the generative art space cannot be overstated and we're thrilled to be working together with him again.

• Hosted Beervangeer & Studio Poca in Berlin to live mint Totem.
• Hosted Julian Hespenheide's in Berlin gallery for his new project, FSM.
• Hosted Zach Lieberman, Mario Klingemann, Pindar Van Arman, JuanRG, and Emily Edelman for Spotlight events.
• Hosted DREAMFORUM from July 21-23 in Venice Beach, a 3-day AI conference in partnership with Deforum.
• Minted 200 Epiphanies by Jimena Buena Vida, our July artist-in-residence.

In August we plan to:

• Host Casey Reas' 923 Empty Rooms exhibition across our global gallery network from August 14 - 19. Learn more.
• Mint our August artist-in-residence, Nicole Vella, and her new project If You Could Do It All Again. Available on our marketplace throughout August for 0.05 ETH.
• Host Spotlight events for Licia He, Mario Carrillo, and more.
• Share more about our plans for Buenos Aires, including our artist lineup and venue for November 2-5.
• Visit Paris and Venice Italy to identify potential locations and partners for our final two city events next year.
• Ship big updates to our marketplace and screen display software.

Asks:

• Do you want to display generative art in your home or office? Bright Moments is running a small pilot program to give select partners and community members access to our display technology. To participate, you'll need a Mac Mini and compatible television screen (e.g. Samsung Frame), plus ~30 minutes for an onboarding call.
